Recipes of Christmas Past
Remembering so many Christmases of my childhood — opening presents at home. Grandma and Grandpa Fenner’s for Christmas dinner (the noon meal, for you city folk who call Supper dinner). And then to Grandma Wallace’s or one of the aunts’ for Christmas supper. Lots of cousins. Lots of presents.
I don’t have any of those historic Christmas photos yet — they’re up at mom and dad’s .. I’ll post them when I’m up north at their place in a few days.
Here’s something to kickstart the 12 days of Christmas .. Grandma Fenner’s popcorn balls (which were the best)
Cut up 1 pound large marshmallows.
Add ½ C melted butter in double boiler and stir until heated and mixed.
Add to popped corn.
This amount will do 2 C of un-popped corn.
Shape into balls.
